George began these traditional fine caribou babiche filled snowshoes after the new year, January 2011. It was a wonderful gift to the rest of the family, especially his 'almost' teenagers and their elementary aged nephews.

Before we had traditional and seasonal lifestyle. Veteran-served on U.S.S.Constellation, a naval carrier, during the Vietnam War. Carpenter,subsistence Yukon River bush lifestyle. Considered a Master Craftsman in building Athabascan snowshoes.Last man standing gets that destination. No native apprentices that we know of. Reaching sixty.
